A Sidewalk Marketplace in Bangkok

Copyright (C) 2012 By F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights Reserved.

Bangkok is such a marvelous place to wander about to drool
over the fresh fruits and vegetables draped naturally from within
the boxes adorning each tasty morsel. A real delight to behold
as I've tried to convey via this portrait of a sidewalk marketplace
on a main street in downtown Bangkok.

Roadside Markets are plentiful in Thailand as you can see...

Copyright (C) 2008 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights Reserved. Thailand has many roadside markets for tourists and locals alike. Why? To sell their wares, of course. A piece of the Thai culture encapsulated to tantalize the home folks upon your return from the "Land of Smiles" and rightfully so. Something to remember one of the best tours or vacations you'll ever experience! Americans should likewise bottle, wrap, or whatever...it's history, culture, etc. and make a few bucks in the process. Thais do. And for good reason. They have something to offer--their own cultural past--that's what: to pass on to the world. We should all be proud of our roots, past, culture and what-have-you... Amazing Thailand, America, Britain, etc. Take a look, you may find something you'd like to give to relatives, friends and others back home at a roadside market during your stay in Thailand.

BEAUTIFUL TEMPLES ADORN THE EXOTIC SCENERY OF THAILAND

Copyright (C) 2009 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights Reserved.
Amazing Thailand, and that it is... With Buddhist temples of every variety--new and old--gives a visitor a comfortable feeling, that they too are a part of this ancient civilization. Experiencing a culture up close: there's nothing like it. An experience of a lifetime, as though you're boarding a time machine...traveling backward in time. And this temple is just one example of the unique experience one's undergoes visiting and touring: Amazing Thailand.

AMAZING THAILAND: AN INSIDE VIEW OF WHAT HAPPENS DURING A BUDDHIST CELEBRATION FOR THOSE BECOMING MONKS AT A LOCAL WAT (TEMPLE)

Copyright (C) 2008 by F. Scott Sinclair. AllRights Reserved. It's always fascinating to watch Thais celebrate the honored tradition of young (& old) men becoming monks. Such a sacred tradition that's been embedded in Thai culture forever. The joy, laughter, serenity, playfulness, loving kindness and seriousness of this traditional Thai ritual is truly that: amazing. These rural farmers, families and friends bestow their hearts on a platter almost, as they worship and pray for those Thai souls who have chosen to become monks. Whether that be for a week, or a lifetime, it doesn't matter. Becoming a monk is the most sacred and pious act that anyone can make if they are a Buddhist. Watch the People of the Land of Smiles rejoice...!

INGENUITY AND HARDWORK ARE THE INGREDIENTS INSTILLED INTO THE VIRTUOUS THAI CHARACTER: WE COULD LEARN A LOT FROM THAIS IN THESE CHALLENGING TIMES

Copyright (C) 2008 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights
Reserved. Click on the picture if you'd like to view a larger image of the picture. This is a photo of a motorcycle vendor who comes to your doorstep and delivers appetizing treats, cakes, dried squid (in some cases); hence, you name it, and if Thai vendors on their three wheeled motorcycles can make a buck (or a Baht, the monetary means of exchange in Thailand)--I can almost guarantee that somebody will try to bring the product to your home. Thais are very enterprising and will survive any economic downturn, no matter what. Those who work in factories like Westerners are less likely to escape the forthcoming worldwide recession (or depression) because they've become wage slaves, and lack the survival skills that are past on from generation to generation in Thailand. That why Thailand survived the 1997 economic crash via hardwork and ingenuity here in the Land of Smiles.

A CHILD'S PARADISE IN AMAZING THAILAND

Copyright (C) 2008 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights

Reserved. Just click on the picture to enlarge the image. I was standing in the shade trying to escape the midday sun, and its blistering rays. In the process, the following picture caught my eye. My trusty Pentax K10D said: C'mon, take the picture...! So, I did... It seems that every country tries to amuse their youngsters with unique and fun activities. Thailand is no exception to this rule. Thai children (like all children) love to climb around a maze of obstacles, as you can see by this colorful outside setting of make believe objects: a child's paradise. This park-like setting is situated alongside a calm river that buzzes with activity around dinnertime. Joggers, walkers, sightseers, lovers and friends, stroll along the concrete path that flows alongside the contour of the riverbed. A delightful experience...
